A beloved staple in Hoover’s pediatric healthcare scene, Greenvale Pediatrics has encouraged health and wellness among children and families in the community for more than 50 years.
What is Greenvale Pediatrics’ history in Hoover?
Originally founded in 1974 in Hoover by Drs. David Glasgow and Donald Palmer, Greenvale Pediatrics (Greenvale) has a history rooted in community care. Initially an independent practice, it was purchased by Children’s of Alabama in 1996. Today, Greenvale provides care to newborns through college-aged patients at offices in Hoover, Brook Highland and Alabaster.
Why do generations of patients and families keep coming back?
Greenvale has a recognized commitment to patient-centered care, earning the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Patient Centered Medical Home certification in 2013. We’ve been successfully recertified since then.
In 2024, the practice celebrated 50 years of pediatric healthcare with a special appearance by founder Dr. David Glasgow.

Doctor’s Orders!
Our pediatricians recommend well-child visits from infancy through adolescence.
Not only do these visits allow a pediatrician to evaluate your child’s physical, mental, and social development, but they also build a trust that helps children and young adults be open and honest about their health and well-being.
